Tim Burton Summer School
Enter the wonderfully weird world of Tim Burton at Scream Theatre Schools’ spectacular Summer School.
Designed for performers aged 6 to 18 of all experience levels, this exciting summer programme celebrates the unforgettable characters, music and stories inspired by Tim Burton’s iconic films and musicals. From Beetlejuice and The Nightmare Before Christmas to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland, Corpse Bride and more, students will explore scenes, scripts and songs from his incredible body of work while developing their acting, singing and dance skills.
Our Summer School offers flexible booking, allowing you to attend individual days or book the full week. While every day is packed with exciting workshops and creative activities, we recommend booking the performance day to experience the excitement of taking part in our end-of-course showcase.
Throughout the week, students will enjoy professional training with our experienced industry tutors, covering:
- Acting through scenes and scripts inspired by Tim Burton’s films
- Vocal technique and musical theatre performance
- Character development
- Dance and movement
- Ensemble performance
- Stagecraft and rehearsal techniques
- Performance confidence
- Creative storytelling
The week builds towards a fantastic showcase performance where students will perform a selection of scenes, songs and choreography inspired by the extraordinary worlds of Tim Burton. Family and friends are invited to celebrate everything the performers have achieved in a magical end-of-course production.
Whether attending for a single day or the full week, every student will enjoy an unforgettable theatrical experience filled with creativity, confidence, imagination and plenty of spooky fun.

Price: 2 weeks: £275.00 1 week: £137.50 or £27.50 per day
About your tutor:
Ashley Luke Lloyd
Ashley Luke Lloyd was born in Blackpool and attended school at Bispham High School Arts College. He also attended classes at Scream Theatre Schools and is represented by Red Door Management.
Ashley started acting at a young age performing in various advertising commercials including Kinder Egg and playing child lead “Poor Baby” in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s UK touring production of Whistle Down The Wind. He then went on to play the role of Michael in Billy Elliot the Musical. After leaving the West End, Ashley had small roles in many British television shows including Waterloo Road, The Royal, Hollyoaks and he played Zak in I Could Never Be Your Woman, alongside Michelle Pfeiffer and Paul Rudd. In 2012 Ashley appeared in Loserville: The Musical. Lloyd made his first leading role in a movie in the film Gingerclown 3D (2013), in which he played Sam Tulley alongside Tim Curry, Sean Young and Lance Henriksen.
Ashley has also performed in the international tour of Mamma Mia! and Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar. More recently he has also worked on award winning West End musical Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre.
