Community Initiative

To provide “Self development” through performance based programmes / workshops to individuals, community groups and throughout schools and Community / Youth Centres in the North West to encourage:

  • Enthusiasm, energy and a positive approach to life
  • On Going Confidence
  • Self Esteem
  • Skill in Verbal Communication
  • Effective Social Interaction

With the emphasis of the above areas concentrating around Health, Emotional and Physical issues, it will be an opportunity to discover an enjoyable, rewarding discipline. All activities would be available to children, Teenagers and young Adults including those with Disabilities and Special Needs from all backgrounds.

How will the activity benefit the Community?
By receiving quality bespoke workshops or courses, away from the normal School / College setting, it is hoped that anyone attending would be educated in certain areas of their life that would improve their outlook on what society “owes” them, and what they can hope to achieve from life if they are just prepared to try! A way to broaden the cultural horizons of people of all ages in order to give them a wider perspective on life.
The courses will cover a wide range of issues through performance led subjects, such as:

  • Movement and confidence through Dance
  • Literacy through Drama
  • Health issues including emotional and physical concerns through exercise
  • Development of inspirational thinking and positive behaviour

The courses are designed and developed to answer the specific needs and issues within communities and are tailored to suit specific ages, agenda and social issues such as:

  • Bullying
  • Peer Pressure
  • Crime
  • Gangs
  • Self Confidence
  • Under Age Sex

Delivery of the programme would be by Industry professionals and the outcome would help to improve the following areas of the person’s life, which would eventually benefit the community as a whole.

  • Improve Life Skills
  • Increase confidence
  • Raise Awareness of Current Issues
  • Raise aspiration Levels
  • Improve Social Skills
  • Insert Discipline

The more people that can benefit from this interaction with community arts the better.

Own Facilities

Many organisations would struggle for the facilities for the development of these courses, but we would be able to offer Full Studio facilities with workshops led by professional Industry people so therefore provide them with a cost effective programme.
